About Chris
Chris Jean-Alice Harder was born in Mankato, MN—a small town about an hour south of Minneapolis. He went to college at Minnesota State University where he studied sculpture before switching to literature and film studies. He was later accepted into the graduate program where he received an MFA in Creative Writing in 2015. He has written many short stories, screenplays, and teleplays. They have been recognized by both the Script Pipeline and Final Draft Big Break screenplay competitions. In 2017, Chris was Associate Producer on the feature film, Thunder Road, by Jim Cummings, which went on to win the Grand Jury Prize for Narrative Feature at the South by Southwest Film Festival in 2018. He has since produced shorts and documentaries seen on PBS, The Atlantic, and The New Yorker.
